Cancer Connect Expands Social Media Platform with Version 2.0

OMNI Health Media is proud to announce the launch of version 2.0 of our CancerConnect social network community for cancer patients and their caregivers. CancerConnect is the leading social media application in oncology and is used by Dana Farber, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Roswell Park, and other leading cancer centers and clinics to power their social media strategy and provide a community for their cancer patients and caregivers.  Now with over 10,000 members, CancerConnect has launched version 2.0 based on extensive member insight, client feedback, and user surveys.

In addition to continuing to host the successful Web Chat with the Expert series, CancerConnect version 2.0 has now added a variety of additional features and UI enhancements.  Some major highlights of this release include:  support for multimedia file types in the activity stream; posting options for pictures, PDFs, and videos within any community; enhanced forum navigation, including search and a content-tagging “folksonomy”;  integration with third-party platforms Facebook and Twitter; a streamlined login process; contextual help tooltips throughout the site; updated layouts with user-customizable fonts and sizes and simplified global site navigation; and much more.
