CancerConnect Announces New Topics and Guest Moderators for Popular Ask the Expert Series

Sun Valley, Idaho and Fort Worth, Texas – CancerConnect announces new line-up of experts and topics scheduled for the upcoming 2014 Ask the Expert series.

The CancerConnect Ask the Expert series is a live online patient education program that encourages interactive discussions with thought leaders in oncology to help facilitate informed treatment decision-making and encourage interaction and engagement within the CancerConnect community.  The series includes multimedia formats to meet the needs of patients, caregivers, and others affected by cancer, including the following:

  • One-hour live Web chat programs featuring expert presentations and Q&A sessions
  • 2 to3 day Q&A sessions with oncology experts in the CancerConnect community

The CancerConnect Ask the Expert series impacts thousands of patients and caregivers in their search for quality online information. The series topic and expert moderator are promoted through the CancerConnect community, which currently includes thousands of patients, as well as through all social media outlets. In addition to providing invaluable expert insight for patients and caregivers, the series provides an opportunity for cancer centers to increase visibility of their programs and resources and engage their community.

Thought leaders from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dana- Farber Cancer Institute, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Sarah Cannon Research Institute, and other leading cancer centers are scheduled to participate in this year’s Ask the Expert series.
