Women Magazine Expands Distribution to Costco Stores

Sun Valley, Idaho and Austin, Texas—OMNI Health Media, a leading specialty publisher of women’s health content for consumers is pleased to announce that it will begin retail distribution of Women magazine to approximately 462 Costco stores with the upcoming summer issue. 

Women is a premier health magazine focusing on the total health of women and their families. In every issue, Women publishes regular features on bone and joint health, heart health, GI health, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer prevention, screening and management, as well as nutrition, exercise, and spiritual and emotional topics. Women empowers readers to take charge of their health and recognizes the unique role women play in fostering the overall health of their families and friends.

The expanded distribution of Women to Costco, combined with the approximately 1100 WalMart stores added in March, greatly increases the magazine’s reach beyond the magazine’s core distribution through specialty clinics.  Women has been available since 2013 in all oncology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology, and women’s health clinics, and will also add distribution to obstetric and gynecology clinics with the next issue.

The summer 2016 issue of Women is filled with informative and inspiring women’s health and wellness content created to educate and empower women so they can make thoughtful decisions about their health. In-depth features covering multiple sclerosis (MS), rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis are included in this issue, all of which include expert insight alongside current research.

In addition, the issue provides inspiring stories of cancer survivorship, told from the perspective of ovarian cancer survivors, as well as tips for cancer caregivers, a guide to DNA testing, and insight from a physician into the value of seeking a second opinion in the wake of a cancer diagnosis.

Importantly, the spring issue also includes a broad range of Women’s standard features and columns covering wellness;  topics include nutrition and meal planning, beginning a yoga practice, a new program that utilizes social media to encourage women to boost heart health, and our regular life coach column—among others.
